"Still is a restaurant to try in Dubai", I am not really sure what to write about Teatro. Is it good? Is it bad? Would I come again? Arriving to Teatro, you are welcomed by a good impression, nice cozy ambiance, nice and special decoration, a nice wide bar, a huge wine cooler, red chandeliers dimmed lighting and a funky theatrical theme. But, after being seated at the table, you realize that its very noisy -i really didn't understand the music that i never heard before in my life-, excessively dark that my “iPhone 4S” camera couldn't shoot the dishes, and the tables are a bit condensed together. In the place where eastern cooking meets western cuisine you are guaranteed to satisfy your hunger: You are offered 4 different menus of wine, sushi, cocktails and food. I really enjoyed the food, the choice, the presentation and mainly the big quantities and to be able to understand the menu properly, the waiter offered us a torch light. We asked for lots of things: Appetizers, a sushi assortment plate, Thai bread with its dip, mixed salad, mushroom risotto, giant tiger prawns and others things i forgot about that were all served in the middle of the table on high metallic stands. We were a bit hungry but didn't know that the quantities were that big, so we ate to an extend that we couldn't taste the desserts.

As an overall food review, everything was good, some dishes better than others but a total rating of satisfaction.

I loved the sushi, the freshness of the ingredients and delicacy of the rice. I didn't like the risotto at all - Iwould recommend reconsidering this dish-. I was impressed by the hot bread with its dip. Salad is correct. Large, even huge prawns with a peanut hot sauce is a nice dish. It looked to me that the restaurant receives a multi ethnical clientele. We were surrounded by different nationalities from different classes of society, and that night the restaurant was fully booked, even though i heard many rumors that its been here for the last couple of years and that people are starting to forget about it, or avoid it cause the quality dropped. The waiters who are very well trained organizing the table with one hand like if they can do it blindly are very welcoming, smiling and serving. I don't know if I made myself clear explaining the first point of: “I am not really sure what to write about Teatro”, cause it was a bit controversial. I might pass by again later on next year and not consider it for my monthly diners as I do for La Petite Maison, Pai Thai and Caramel but i would recommend you to try it.
