It’s a great place, but way too expensive. With a world renowned chef, I understand that you’re paying for more than just the taste - you’re also paying for the ambiance, status and the art of cuisine. But frankly, I still felt that the prices were too high.

Burgundy 2

We finally have a fine dining restaurant in Beirut! The place is nice, very well decorated, cozy and warm. The restaurant is headed by an international chef, Brody White, who takes care of their clients and it works well.

Burgundy serves contemporary French cuisine with an international inspiration. At Burgundy you eat very good:

  • The food is full of taste, aromas and ideas.
  • Their wine selection is wide, but unfortunately the choices they have are a bit expensive.
  • You cannot choose a fine and average priced bottle.

Let us now be realistic: why is it $200 per person? The restaurant does not have a starred chef, nor did it get a Michelin star. I already ate at Joel Robuchon, Guy Savoy, Alain Ducasse and many other renowned chefs with a cheaper price, tastier food and better wine lists.

Check out the menu Burgundy's plates are mouthwatering. Until now, with all due respect to all others, Chez Sophie is still the number one gastronomic restaurant in town.

If you want to try it, keep in mind, it is going to hurt the wallet.
