After reviewing the business lounge of "Hall L" at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, I had the chance to experience what "Hall K" of terminal E has to offer. I personally preferred this one. K Lounge oozes the same Air France spirit which is felt in all its Halls, with minor yet positive differences: It is old a needs serious attention hoping to hafve someting fresh like Hall M in the upcoming years.
I have already expressed my discomfort towards some issues in Hall L, especially the very long and tiring aspect of it, where moving from one end to another takes forever. As soon as you reach the welcoming desk, you will see that the K Lounge is divided into two separate halls, one on the left and another on the right. I chose to sit on the left side, where an upper floor is available for travelers seeking a calmer atmosphere.
The architectural details:
  • The hall boasts three different types of floor covers - some parts are covered with ceramic, while other parts are covered with carpets and another part with wood parquet
  • Camel and red sofas distributed around the middle area of square tables where quick meetings can be made
  • Brown and red chairs, a signature touch in major lounges of Air France
  • Private areas for relaxing are separated from the main hall with thick glass giving a feel of widened calm
  • A corner for JAL first class travelers
  • An upper floor on the left side facing the Tarmac although the other side is inside the inner part of the airport
  • A luggage deposit corner
Few choices of exquisite bites:
  • Simply, buttered croissant and other little triangular cut sandwiches
  • A platter of cheese slices with bread on the side
  • La Mere Poulard, famous Galettes Bretonnes
  • Lotus Speculoos biscuits
  • Two different mini chips bags - Lays
  • Cheese biscuits
  • Apples
  • Individually wrapped cakes
  • A wide choice of Tea by the famous Fauchon
  • Butter
  • Fruit salad
  • Yogurt
  • Rolled ham sliced
  • Mini French pickles

Beverages and Spirits:
  • Wines and champagnes from the Bordeaux area with a choice of two red wines and other two white wines in addition to couple of opened Champagne bottles
  • Two fridges in every hall offers mini cans of fruit drinks, sodas and sparkling water.
  • More than 6 coffee machines all around the lounge
Today's drinks choices:
  • Joseph Drouhin, Rully white wine
  • Toques et Clochers, Limoux, white wine
  • Vertica Vodka
  • Massenez, Eau de vie, Poire Williams
  • Moulin a vent, Les vins Georges Duboeuf, red wine
  • Nicolas Feuillante, Chouilly, Millesime 2005, Brut Chardonnay
  • Bourgogne, Chanson, Viré Clessé
  • Nicolas Feuillatte, Champagne, Brut Chardonnay, Millesime 2005
The Provided Services:
  • A closed room for sleeping
  • Showers and rest rooms available to refresh after a long transatlantic flight
  • Screens showing upcoming flights
  • A working space
  • Computers with free internet access
  • A fast internet service is offered all around the lounge by Orange
  • The newspaper and magazines stand offering choices from the four corners of the globe
  • A massage area
  • Clarins beauty corner
The welcoming and smiley staff will make sure time will pass by quickly and your passage to the lounge pleasant and enjoyable especially with the calm and serene ambiance the terminal K Lounge provides.
