Seasons Oriental Chinese Restaurant Limassol
The Four Seasons hotel is one of the area's larger establishments hosting a number of restaurants, one of which being a Seafood bar I chose to dine at on this occasion. With a view and live music, the place is upmarket and entertaining. A full set of cutlery, waiters wearing black, orange details in the decor (to distinguish it from the other two restaurants in the hotel: colored each in yellow and blue) and of course the bar. It’s a specialist seafood place serving unique creations.
On the menu you find a wide selection of fresh fish, sushi and sashimi, a beef item and another pork item, oysters, caviar and desserts. Not the best of welcomes though as even though the place was pretty empty tonight it took us an eternity to be served.
Crab salad, sushi rolls, fresh salmon and sea bass ceviche are tonight's orders. Enjoying the breath of fresh air from the sea I lounged and awaited service. Something caught my attention, the five chefs working behind the bar, two wearing red, one in white and two in black. Preparing plates in a synchronized manner, some created the sushi rolls while others sliced the fish meticulously.
The sushi rolls are exquisite, a fine quality, a great taste, beautifully decorated, the rolls contain so little rice that you will feel every single ingredient used. Octopus and avocado, fresh crab meat, crispy tempura and much more to please the eye and palate. Because the rice is not sticky and not sweet, the rolls crumble easily before reaching your mouth. I loved them, really tasty and recommended.
The salmon is outstanding! An oval plate on which a beautiful piece of fresh salmon lies peacefully surrounded with a creamy mousse, sour cream and fresh vegetables cut in small pieces or slices. It's fine dining quality, redefining salmon. A soft and juicy salmon with many flavors accompanying it. A smooth crunch, a kick of acidity, a boost of sweetness... oh my God!
The crab salad is a masterpiece, a piece of art, a colorful drawing. An explosion of flavors and textures, unique ingredients, a perfect equilibrium... magic redefined! It's an award winning plate.
Ceviche like you've never seen before, fresh sea bass, lemony, tangy, a smooth crunch, soft toasted corn... loved it!
Before moving to dessert, a cold refreshing napkin was offered to us. Orange confit with vanilla crème brûlée and bergamot gelato. Red fruit temptation with red fruit gelato, cassis espuma and marinated berries.
You ask yourself... is this real???? Wow! An amazing sensation... all my senses were awakened. The dessert is to die for, the orange confit is breathtaking, the red fruit cup made me quiver... I was transported into another dimension.
The food is amazing, the restaurant is certainly a recommendation.
