Let me tell you about a place where art is the driver. A big space where only a few stools are available with six stone tables. A square box with light coming from the ceiling to shine on a table, one single table where food is displayed to be shot by your phone. It’s where baking has another meaning, where aromas enchant, where music transports and where food makes you want to scream. The Bakehouse is not like any bakeshop and definitely not like any coffee shop, it’s all about art transforming ingredients into edible things.

Welcome to a refreshing space left as simple as it is with glass on both sides to give you the feeling of emptiness and class. A floor made of concrete, wooden stools and pink colored tables surrounding the bar where an espresso machine is a custom made for the bakery. Behind the glass is where greatness is baked with love, attention, and passion, one item at a time.

Rhubarb strawberry basil cruffin, plain croissant, s’mores croissant, yuzu and mint, blueberry rosemary croissant and three donuts. Continue down the line to discover the pride Croissant, banana split sundae, spinach and ham cheese.

Largely sized croissant with experience inside out. Flaky on the outside and extremely airy on the inside, the croissants are much more than a French breakfast roll, each is an experience on its own. Try the salmon and cream cheese, feel its flakiness and vibrant heart. Enjoy the multicolored s’mores croissant with a heart of chocolate, and don’t forget to indulge into the ham and cheese which made my heart skip a beat.

I’ve had croissants... those are different. French know-how and class with a touch of innovation and modernism.

No need to dwell more on innovations that speak for themselves. I loved them so much that I promised myself to visit again on my next visit to New York. The banana split will be next.
