Musicians on a Mission - #JoinTheMission

“MUSICIANS ON A MISSION” is a stay-at-home, live charity concert initiated by Mr. Marwan Al Masri in collaboration with the NGO, “Heart of Giving.”

Thanks to all the artists, sponsors, partners, and supporters, the concert will be transmitted live from Zaytunay Bay on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 6:30 PM. The event aims to see the heart of Beirut beat again and bring the country’s people together during these trying times by gathering donations for those in need.

The "Heart of Giving" is a nonprofit charity organization established in Beirut in 2020 with registration No 6965. It started off by tackling hunger and food insecurity issues that impact the lives of a large sector of the population across all areas of Lebanon.

Their mission besides eradicating hunger throughout most of the areas of Lebanon is to actively seek sustainable solutions and aim to turn these underprivileged communities into self-reliant productive ones to empower them and make a positive change in their lives, thrive and flourish with dignity.

Eventually, they are aiming to initiate and provide the necessary tools that would operate effective productive projects and crafts, thus helping them to be economically independent. These projects would be materialized through a partnership with corporate and Lebanese designers, that would lead to innovative thinking in producing these projects and marketing these products on our online website charity page, to have their full proceeds all returning to all families in need.

Furthermore, they have coordinated with other NGOs and depended on, on-site visits to identify which areas require the most help. Over the course of the last 5 months, they were able to distribute around 2155 food rations, trying to reduce hunger and spread smiles. In the process, they reach out to these NGO whose mission is different than ours and can fulfill certain required needs of our targeted communities, like education, medical aid, and job opportunities.

For now, the NGO’s donations are in the form of food rations distributed to those who need it most. Each food ration costs 85,000 L.L.

On June 23, 2020, at 6.30 p.m., Beirut and its citizens will be filled with the music of joy with every tune representing a newfound hope. Because no matter what happens, the sound of music will always unite people and bring them together for one cause; helping those in need.

The free concert, called “Musicians on a Mission,” will be broadcasted live on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, and will feature renowned musicians, such as the grand dame of Arabic Opera, Hiba Al Kawass; the composer, musician, and pianist, Guy Manoukian; Albert Boyadjian; DJ Royo; Andre Soueid; and Jose Carlos.
