Celebrate Chocolate Eclair Day. Where Would You Go?

June 22 is National Chocolate Eclair Day... Yey... as if we need another reason to treat ourselves to something sweet. The eclair has been a favorite treat since its creation in the 1860s, and it will undoubtedly continue to be a bakery shop staple for a long time. Today go grab some eclairs, guilt free, to celebrate their yumminess... But tell us where you're going...? Where do you think we can find the best eclairs in town? Atelier_Eclair_Paris44 The word comes from French éclair 'flash of lightning', so named because it is eaten quickly - in a flash of lightening. The French call the dough of these treats “choux,” which is carefully baked to allow for a hollow interior. Then cream, custard, or purée is piped into its center and it is topped off with fondant icing. With its flaky dough and sweet, creamy filling, this dessert has become a global favorite. To celebrate National  Eclair Day, head over to your nearest bakery. Check out some eclairs on NoGarlicNoOnions Waiting for your suggestions...
