It’s my second time at Le Cedrus, enjoying it more and more every visit. After visiting in August during the summer season, I’m back to discover the Cedars during wintertime. Up in Lebanon’s favorite winter destination, there’s a hotel I recommend: Le Cedrus offers a cozy atmosphere and delicious food at restaurant Le Pichet.
An old hotel, nicely refurbished, Le Cedrus is an upscale hotel up in the cedars. Fully decorated with dark wood, lit with dimmed yellow lights and enchanted with jazz music all night long, Le Cedrus is your escape during winter days.
My evening started with a hefty dinner; baked Brie cheese, filet de boeuf with mushroom sauce, tagliatelle with balsamic sauce, wedged potatoes, mushroom sauce, goat cheese, and endives Rochefort. Delicious food, good homey flavors prepared with passion and know-how.
Up in the room, a wide room, a big king size bed, a wide bathroom, a sofa and working desk with a view on the road below. A warm and relaxing night spent with the strong sounds of a storm getting prepared.
Breakfast is served at the restaurant as of 7 am. A wide choice of Lebanese specialties, Labneh, Cheese and Sahlab among many other choices. I enjoyed the croissants.
Check the photos that tell a thousand stories each; I love it here and already planned my next visit with the family.
