Dubai, UAE – November 21 to November 30, 2025 – Zaroob and NoGarlicNoOnions are closing out Season 2 of Street Food Heroes with a finale that captures everything this movement stands for — flavor, love, family, and authenticity.
The air at Zaroob is about to fill with laughter, the sizzle of hotdogs, the smell of baked potatoes, and the irresistible taste of sfiha. People are already flocking from every corner of Dubai — families, food lovers, tourists, and locals — all coming together to taste, connect, and celebrate the heroes who bring real food and real stories to life.
Freddy’s Hot Dog — A Bite of Beirut’s Nightlife Legacy
Kicking off the finale is Freddy Daher, the man behind Freddy’s Hot Dog, a true Beirut icon since 1969. Freddy started with his famous finger potato chips facing his university at USJ, and later became a nightlife legend with his hot dog truck parked across from B018. For decades, club-goers ended their long nights with one of Freddy’s perfectly simple, perfectly delicious hot dogs — soft bun, juicy sausage, his secret sauce, and that unmistakable Lebanese touch.
Now, Freddy’s rolling into Dubai to serve the same taste that fueled generations of Beirut nights — nostalgia in a bun, simple, soulful, and unforgettable.
The Potato Bar — From Bekaa Fields to Dubai Streets
Next up is Bilal Makkawi, founder of The Potato Bar, a street food favorite born in Beirut Souks with Souk El Akel in 2015. His signature baked potatoes are a story of craftsmanship and care — grown on his own land in the Bekaa Valley, handpicked one by one for the perfect texture and flavor.
Each potato is baked to perfection and loaded with toppings that redefine comfort food: mushrooms, melted cheese, crispy chips, and secret sauces that make every bite different from the last.
Bilal’s goal? To bring the true soul of Lebanese street food to Dubai — simple ingredients, done perfectly, shared with love.
Baalbake — The Pride of Baalbak Comes to Dubai
Finally, Fadel Barakat, known as Baalbake, joins the finale with one mission: to let the world taste the authentic Sfiha Baalbakieh. Straight from Baalbak, Lebanon’s heart of traditional meat pies, Fadel’s Baalbake brand is already loved across his branches in Jal El Dib, Zouk Mosbeh, Achrafieh, and Dekwaneh.
His sfihas are legendary — small, open-faced meat pies baked on fresh dough, spiced with heritage, and served with pride. For the first time, Dubai will experience the true flavor of Baalbak, crafted by the man who’s kept this tradition alive for decades. He brought his special spices to keep the taste authentic.
A Celebration of Food, Family, and Heroes
The Street Food Heroes Season 2 Finale is more than an event — it’s a celebration of everything that makes food matter. Over the past months, Anthony Rahayel and Zaroob have turned Dubai into a stage for authenticity, giving unsung cooks, bakers, and creators from across Lebanon and the region the chance to shine.
This finale brings it all together — the energy of a street food market, the warmth of a Lebanese gathering, and the joy of sharing good food with good people. It’s not just about what’s on the plate; it’s about the memories, the scents, and the stories that come with it.
So come be part of this finale — a street food festival of heroes, where Zaroob and NoGarlicNoOnions close out Season 2 the way they started: with heart, flavor, and family.
