One of the best steakhouses in town is called KOD; found on google maps and trip advisor, I was excited to have a decent piece of meat with some good fries! I’ve had enough of complicated things the last three days; it was time for a hefty and enjoyable dinner.
Dark and dimmed, the ambiance at KOD blends between a bar, pub, and restaurant. I’m not sure why restaurants in 2019 want you to dine in the dark! Is it sexier? I couldn’t even see hat I'm eating.
Served by a waitress that seems to be new on the job, taking the order was a bit complicated. Bread, very chewy bread with a side of mayonnaise; mayonnaise with your bread?! That’s new!
Can I have the internet password: I don’t have it. Please get us two beers; do you want a beer? One côte de boeuf please: I order two for two persons?... Why have an untrained waitress?
I loved the choices of food; a handful of meat choices, a burger, three choices of fries, enjoyable sides, many starters, and desserts. I was excited and hoping to eat something phenomenal; and phenomenal it was!
Beautiful plates, decorated with style, balanced and created with passion. Sauces, ingredients, interesting flavors and beautiful decoration. Fine quality tuna with wasabi cream, fried tempura prawns with Serrano ham, cold smoked thick salmon with cream cheese and the lobster ravioli. I loved everything about these plates from setup to taste.
Yummy food! Excellent food that deserves five stars. Exceptional meat, outstanding fries, awesome sauces! Bravo! My top recommendation in Copenhagen where the food is out of this world. I loved the Cote de boeuf, adored the thick fries and enjoyed the sieves so much. Order the sweet fries, the steak fries, and the grilled vegetables. This trip last impression rocks!
