La Petite Maison Istanbul: A Dream Dinner!
Amazing, exceptionally amazing like all the “La Petite Maison” restaurants I’ve been to around the world. After indulging in the finest food in Nice, Dubai, and Beirut, here comes the Istanbul experience. Enter into a summer garden decorated with white table covers, colorful artwork, a bar, and the signature lemon and tomatoes in the middle of every table — the same menu for as long as I remember and the same vibes.
Arrive at the lower level, take the stairs to the main dining space. Enjoy the artwork, walk around, look at the shadows, and choose a table by the windows.
Olive oil, fresh crunchy bread... I was enchanted. Bread is phenomenal fluffy, airy, and fresh. Served warm, you will enjoy dipping it in olive oil or the sauce of the “warm shrimp” you have to order. “Crevettes Tièdes,” the plate of choice, warm shrimp cut in half served on a bed of olive oil and lemon. A plate that will tickle all your senses and awake all your taste buds.\
The crunch of caramelized walnuts, the acidity of green apples carpaccio, the strong taste of Roquefort, and the subtle flavors of the sauce; that’s a unique salad you have to try. Enjoy the textures and blend of several flavors combined, creating a fresh plate that suits the restaurant’s direction.
Incredible, the pasta is incredible! Al dente, perfectly cooked, mixed with tender ground meat and sprinkled with Parmesan. A unique acidic sauce and superb pasta created to make you cry: crunchy calamari, a kick of spiciness at the end and a side of gourmet tartare sauce.
Yummy! A restaurant I’ll recommend to all my friends. A must when visiting Istanbul.
